Fruzyme Biotech was founded in 2013 by G.P Karthikeyan and P. Suresh Kumar. Mr. Karthikeyan and Mr. Suresh are generational agriculturists and first generation entrepreneurs from South India.
They seek to invest in new food and agricultural technologies that provide industries with greener alternatives. Under their leadership, Fruzyme Biotech has grown to become one the largest plant proteases manufactures in the world today.
Fruzyme Biotech launched its first product in 2013, with the manufacturing of crude protease. The company went into refining and value addition in 2015 and obtained the FSSC 22000 certification in 2017.
In the last 20 years, the Indian Biotechnology Industry has gone from being a nascent sector to being one of the fastest growing industries in the country. Sensing the potential and market demand for natural broad spectrum products, Fruzyme Biotech has expanded into a new 20,000 sq ft formulation facility with a production capacity of more than 4 tonnes/day. This makes Fruzyme Biotech one of the most modern, state of the art and largest of its kind across the world.
